Hi All - hoping to get some creative ideas to get sales to fill out a win story form (its only 7 questions π). I am struggling to get my sales teams to fill them out, and I really need this to build out a new Advocacy program from the ground up. I don't want to incentivize, because this will only take them 10 mins to fill out. Open to all suggestions from this talented group
Does your organization use Slack? I wonder if you can use some Slackbot automation/workflow that gets triggered whenever a win alert comes in and then sends them a message to fill it out. Also, in a past life, we really wanted a win write up and made it a requirement before they can close a deal/opportunity. It was then pushed into a public #win-alert slack channel so people can celebrate wins but it had a structure that marketing was able to pull tibets from
The only time I experienced success with this without incentivizing was when we had circumstances similar to what Paola shared β there was a required "Own the outcome" field in SFDC that reps had to fill out, with a minimum character limit, in order for us to get a clearer picture on why the customer purchased and their intended use case. Sales leadership also used this as a way to praise reps who completed the field thoroughly, which helped get other on board

I've had luck with sales when I give them something to react to versus asking them to start from scratch. Could you take the salesforce notes and start the form for them?
These are great ideas. What about implementing a monthly or weekly 'award' program for your best participants. send a monthly email to the whole team and give all the kudos to one lucky sales person who participated or the person who filled out the most forms? CC their boss so they get the recognition and others can see the impact of participating. good luck!
Do you have an internal GTM enablement team? If so, you can partner with them on distribution and to better understand their workflows to make this easier for them to complete.
Our Sales team has a win wire Teams chat (that anyone can join) where sales managers celebrate their AEsβ wins (I believe they just have to be above a certain threshold). They generally talk about the organization, the pain points we are solving for, any competitors or incumbents, deal size, any obstacles the AE overcame in the sale, and any other team members instrumental in the deal (eg solutions engineers). If you donβt have something like that already, perhaps you could work with your Sales team to start one? Then itβs also not just about them giving you information, itβs about publicly celebrating wins and motivating each other too.
