What titles and team structures do you have within your organization?

Hey folks! I have a random question for this group: What is the title of the team that you sit on within your org? For example, I'm a Customer Marketing Manager, but I sit on the Brand Marketing team. Curious how this is set up at other orgs. Thanks!

I've seen it differ A LOT! I sit under Demand Generation and I'm also a Customer Marketing Manager, also saw somewhere recently where it sat in PMM

I lead our customer advocacy program and currently sit on our Corporation Brand & Marketing team but have also been a part of our Demand Generation and Product Marketing team. In the past the other customer marketers have been on the team with me, but most recently we got split apart with the others sitting on demand gen. My role has moved a few times 😅

I am Senior Marketer, Community Growth on the Community Programs & Engagement team. We fall under Community, which sits under Scaled Customer Success in our CS + Sales org.

Hi! Director of Client Advocacy and I when I first started 4.5 years ago I was under Brand + then a shuffle put me under CS for several years. Most recently we moved back under Brand. I am really glad though that we had that time in CS b/c it helped to build out some trust with our CSMs.

Elyssa Hines When I look at titles, when people have a double title, the most common is Customer and Product Marketing. Otherwise, like you see, its a bit all over the place. My guess, it sits where there is a leader who gets it.

Head of Customer and Growth Product Marketing. And I sit under our Head of Product, Solutions and Customer Marketing.
