Hi all, has anyone successfully enabled their account teams to negotiate logo rights- whether for public references or co-marketing? I’m looking for guidance or programs that help secure more public logos.
We worked with our sales & legal teams to create a contract add-on for logo rights. Can be fleshed out depending on customer's own legal parameters but typically comes with a % discount on contract.
I've done this previously - Always include logo rights in the initial contract which could be red lined out. I found it extremely time efficient to then work with revops and capture that at the opp and account level so you can run reports.
We also would often negotiate give/gets when it came to case studies and references. They want a discount and we would get them to agree to a case study or to be a reference and have it written in the contract.
Nooo! We are a cybersecurity company and it has been like pulling teeth getting reps to work in logo rights!! We have it on our click through contract but no large accounts use that contract :(
Rose Fried I worked at a cybersecurity company and exactly the same — makes sense given bigger logos probably don't want to publicly blast who's hosting their privacy infrastructure but still a pain nonetheless!
+1 for including in the contract or onboarding questionnaire we have with our advocates. I'd say we get about a 90% positive response rate to use logos
