Best Practices for Capturing Personal Mailing Addresses for Gifting

How are others capturing personal mailing addresses? We've done this for awards and one-off gifts, but our sales & implementation teams would like to start incorporating gifting/cards (which I love!) and wondering how others have operationalized this request.
