While we give small thank you gifts after calls (and our more frequent references have come to know that it’s customary), we don’t offer anything specifically in exchange (eg we just ask if they will take a call, we don’t mention any compensation or thank you gift in the ask). I want someone to take a call because they are fans of the product, not because they are being paid. We find a lot of our references enjoy being able to connect with others they may otherwise never have met.
