I’d be interested to know of those that submitted which systems are folks using together
I’d be interested to know if those who submitted are actually users/customers!
Echoing Cheyenne and Elisabeth, especially for those vendors that have significantly more responses than others.
Evidently they don’t need to be customers to provide a rating which is a little confusing
TY Elisabeth Catuogno and Kaily Baskett I hear the complaints. This is for people who have used the platforms. Not everyone will be an active customer of a platform if they used it previously. Part of the assessment of the data will include company averages so even if ten people rate something from one company, they still are really one account, so that will be marked as well. So far, few SlapFive users have entered the survey, I do hope thing changes so the community can see several opinions of the platform. As we all know, there's no full proof way to take a survey like this, G2 verifies with a screenshot, but even that isn't full proof, and I'm not asking platform companies to send me their customer lists. Even if I did, it would exclude previous customers and their opinions are highly valued here. I have a good general understanding of how the community sees these platforms, and if anything stands out as questionable, I will dig into it. For now, I'd suggest each platform send customers who want to rate the platform honestly.
Love the ideas Cheyenne Robinson and Gabrielle Herrera
Thanks for doing this Mary!
I can promise that I will look at each of the submissions to verify their LinkedIn, make sure their reasons sound plausible, etc. Right now we have 129 people have submitted over 170 ratings.
I guess I’m not sure what value this will have in the end then. You can’t really weight 30+ responses against ~5 responses and get any sort of accurate snapshot of what’s really happening. And the survey allowed me to rate a tool I’m not even using. This just seems like it’ll turn into a popularity contest rather than an objective survey of what people actually think or feel about these solutions. Good idea, good intention…just don’t think the execution is quite there to be as useful as hoped.
Echoing Scott, we should be careful about surveys and research because only rigorous process can yield trustworthy results.
Mary Green I do suggest you find a way to validate the company names of the respondents with the vendors to see whether they are current or past customers.
Elisabeth Catuogno, as someone who works at SlapFive, it sounds like you are unhappy with the lack of positive responses for your platform. I'm happy to consider removing SlapFive from the survey, as I've told you. I'm also happy to listen to helpful suggestions about how you would create an incorruptible system for the survey. If you want to share all of your current and past customers, I will put in the effort to validate as best possible. I assume most companies will not want to share all of their customers information. I believe you will see an increase in ratings if you send this to your audience. As your competitors are sending it to theirs, S5 gets ratings from previous customers who are on a new platform, so it's not a large pool for great ratings for anyone else. I am pushing the community to submit their ratings and commentary on their ratings, and I evaluate each of these. Scott Stransky every reader will decide for themselves how helpful the information is from the survey. I would say that it's most helpful when there are several responses and a summary of the insights.
PS: I want every company to do well in the survey, SlapFive is well loved in this community, as more people participate I believe that will come through.
Mary Green I agree, it’ll be more valuable as you get more responses in to normalize the sample. Do you have an end date or cut-off time for responding and issue a completed report? Or is the goal to keep it ongoing for a while and report the figures as they come in?
