Tips to Get More Gartner Reviews Approved Despite Credential Issues

Is anyone else seeing a high number of reviews being rejected on Gartner due to credential issues? Any tips for getting more approved? I’ve asked if they can follow up with those reviewers, but it sounds like that request might just be treated as “feedback.”

I have seen this a lot over the years and it’s gotten worse. Gartner Reviews criteria to be qualified, for example customers have to verify employer so if they don’t reply it’s not approved. I am pretty sure you can Google search the requirements. Good luck!

For sure! I've memorized the requirements but I don't know how to combat anonymously with customers.

That’s the hardest part and the people Gartner uses to qualify are so strict!!!

Gartner is being such a hater lately!! Review responses? Impossible. Reviews rejected left and right. Vendor support? Non-existent 🥲

Most of our GPI rejected reviews are from "improper credentials" (emails that may not reflect the company name) I have a hard time believing that. You CAN challenge this. I challenged two reviews last year and won.

Is gartner pay to play? I was just with a team and the gartner support person was super helpful.

That’s a controversial question that comes up a lot. I’ve worked with Magic Quadrants 19 years now and have to say yes, a little. The reason I say yes is that companies that sign up to be a Gartner client will build a relationship with Gartner, Gartner learns more about the company (their direction, strategy, products, etc.) and all this can influence the placement in the MQ. However I have not seen it influence reviews at all. That’s my 2 cents. Curious what others think. 🤔
