That’s a controversial question that comes up a lot. I’ve worked with Magic Quadrants 19 years now and have to say yes, a little. The reason I say yes is that companies that sign up to be a Gartner client will build a relationship with Gartner, Gartner learns more about the company (their direction, strategy, products, etc.) and all this can influence the placement in the MQ. However I have not seen it influence reviews at all.
