How does everyone pull logo rights, right now we manually look through contracts? Wonder if anyone found an automated way to do this?
In the past, customer success used to help us track logo rights once the customer is out of implementation and we would manage it via AirTable
Ultimately, if you pull them all now, manage them in a platform or in Salesforce, then add them going forward, you can just pull a report with customers that allow you to use logos :)
Deja Darrington happy to talk through it via a zoom call with you if needed :)
I don’t current manage this but could you set up a calendar or an Asana project on when a right expires, so that you can reach out to extend it? Or maybe your CRM lets you assign a task and you could from there trigger an automated outreach email?
Our data team built me a Looker dashboard that populates all the accounts with logo rights in their contracts, excludes churned customers, and segments them by the specific activities mentioned. I can filter by company size, region/account team, and industry. It's pretty awesome, tbh, and a total lifesaver.
Our logo rights are connected to a salesforce field – if the language is in the contract, the field is populated. An easy way to check at the account level or create a report
Chris Dalton we did that in my last company for logo, case studies and event attendance. RevOps was amazing for doing that for us
We have a Logo Use Approved checkbox, and a Notes field, on SFDC Account records, and have a report to show all of them in one spot.
Same here, it's an autopopulated check box in SFDC (both logo use and publicity) based on their contract but what I've recently discovered is that current contract language isn't specific about how we can use them, so I still have to follow up and get approval for specific use. Better than nothing but not perfect by any means.
Chris Dalton We have a salesforce field for "logo rights" but haven't figured out an automated way to pull from contract language - how are you doing this at scale?
Not sure, Jessica Hooper – this was set up before I arrived. Have you checked if your RevOps team is able to do this?
I used to get emails where companies would revoke or limit…so I had been asking the team that managed SFDC to put in a checkbox and notes field so we could update that and run reports. Because I was tracking it in a spreadsheet and it was a pain to get sales people to check before putting things in decks! Like others, it wasn’t always well defined in contract language. We had a clause but exceptions didn’t have a good central place.
Yes, RevOps unfortunately didn't have a good solution for automating reading through the contract language in the MSA.. I did hear some people have explored Ironclad for this but need to look into it more Chris Dalton
