Hey Lauren Turner I really appreciate your thoughts here. I've been thinking about how to build a more structured Advocacy program (why I'm responding to a post from August...)
I know most of the advocates I want speaking on our behalf in a very public way wouldn't care about extrinsic motivators, but we have a lot of needs to fill on the social, peer review, customer quotes, references side of things that our mid- to small-company champions might be willing to. I'd love to be able to put a request out to those smaller company champions to fill those needs quickly, but feel like I should be thinking about it together with the bigger needs, too.
Do I make it a branded program? Do I only focus on intrinsic motivators? Do I just start by reaching out to customers to see what they're interested in participating in, and use that as a baseline, without any sort of formal program?
How do you recommended building for scale with a diversification of needs that we have for the business?
Anyway - clearly I have a lot swirling around! Maybe I could pick your brain on this.
