I see both sides of it. When I was on the list, it helped beef up my performance review and personal brand. Also introduced me to other practitioners in the space. But I know these lists tend to come with a stigma - earned or not. Despite my gripes with Base as a tool, I do appreciate their efforts on visibility for all of us. 🌶️ take - I'm not a fan of villainizing those named nor the organizers.
Gabrielle Herrera I don't even know if noms are still open but I thought to myself recently that I honestly would only want it for internal recognition at my own company lol. Everyone had good points about the vis, and I agree with you that Base did a really cool thing for recognition!
