Choosing Between Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise for AI Integration in Business

Copilot M365 vs. ChatGPT Enterprise I finally have the option to use some kind of AI, but I have to choose between the upgraded Copilot or ChatGPT Enterprise. We are fully in Microsoft, so there is a lot of appeal to be able to just ask Copilot to scrape my library of customer interviews in Sharepoint, for example, and to have it take notes for calls on large cross-functional initiatives I'm leading. I currently use the basic Copilot for a lot of brainstorming/planning, gathering insights (but I have to manually add all resources at the basic level and it's a B), and a lot of content and draft (same pain when it comes to multiple resources for content). BUT, I would imagine ChatGPT is more capable for things outside the Microsoft ecosystem. I have been dying to be able to really pull in and synthesize data and insights from Gong, Salesforce, Totango, and I'm not sure if either of this solutions does integrate or integrates better. I'd also guess ChatGPT might be better at actually automating tasks? But I'm not sure about that either. If it could integrate with tools like Asana or Highspot, that might add some value. If anyone out there has any insights to offer, I would greatly appreciate it! I wish Claude was an option, it kills me to see all the amazing things you all are doing with it! But I've gotta work with what's available to me.

If I couldn't use Claude I'd go w Gemini. Then ChatGPT. I've been on Copilot upgraded and it was not capable of doing a lot of what I wanted. ChatGPT on the other hand is known to have more options to bring everything together. Can you bring your files into ChatGPT?

I used both at my last company and I'd go with GPT, Copilot was so limited and made constant mistakes plus it's not good at writing.

Based on your current available options, I'd also go with ChatGPT. I would flag that if your company hasn't specified yet, to double-check with your security team if it's permissible to upload/integrate customer information (e.g. Gong calls, Salesforce contact record data) into these tools. At my current company, we are allowed to input customer information into Gemini, but are prohibited from putting customer information into ChatGPT.

I'd take a look at the connectors available in GPT. I love Claude for this and being able to add all my tools. It's been life-changing, honestly.

I wouldn't go with Gemini. The output I've seen from it lately compared to what I've been doing (we've been comparing) is not even close.

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I went with M365 Copilot for now because I'm leading some large cross-functional projects where some of these basic upgraded features are extremely helpful (and honestly should be available to everyone these days). That said, I'm not impressed with the agents or other advanced features compared to what I've seen is possible with other tools (though I still need to take the time to learn and experiment, my first attempts have been frustrating at best). Our agency also doesn't have key data sources (Salesforce, Gong) connected, which limits what I can do. If I uncover some great use cases with Copilot, I will be sure to share! My goal is to later create a case for also getting ChatGPT, as I feel these two solutions accomplish completely different things. But based on where my priorities are focused at the moment, the tie-ins with Microsoft make the Copilot upgrade worth it as my next step. And deep down I'm hoping someone will make a case to get Claude added as an option in the future!
