For your company events, what kinds of initiatives do you focus on at your booth? For us, we typically drive customer reviews, user group registrations, product research sign-ups. and customer program sign-ups. Iโm curious what others are prioritizing for customer-facing booths and what has worked well for you.
At certain events, when we know we'll have quite a few happy customers present, we've started collecting live video testimonials. We do our best to confirm customers to stop by to record a head of time if we have the attendee list before the event, and we prep the team working the booth on collecting more from folks who organically stop by. We use Vouch so the videos get uploaded into a platform automatically and it's really easy to edit them for different use cases later. If someone doesn't use Vouch and just records on their phone, they can upload the file into the platform easily afterwards.
When I was at Bazaarvoice, we had the "Inspire Studio" as a planned part of the Inspire Roadshow that happened in each city - to capture video testimonials, both about attending the event (promo/buzz for the event) and about working with Bazaarvoice (Customer testimonials/approved quotes).
We booked a quiet room out of the main traffic
Tapped up CS in advance to give customers a heads-up, as well as capturing folks on the floor.
We printed "Inspire Studio"-branded foam boards with four questions for the interviewees to answer. (What's one trend you're seeing and how are you reacting to it? In your role, what's the main thing you are focusing on this year? What's the most exciting thing that Bazaarvoice helped you achieve? What's your biggest takeaway from the event?)
Made sure to record permission to use output in our marketing materials.
