April CMA Jobs Report: 20% Drop in Openings with Rise in Director and CLM Roles
April CMA Jobs Report: 46 Openings With the Q1 rush behind us, the predicted drop in openings happened, but it was still a decent month. Q1 averaged 59 openings per month, and April saw a 20% decrease. Of the April postings:
2 were filled
16 not accepting
27 still open
The two trends I keep a close eye on: Director vs. Manager The exciting news: Of all openings, 22% were for Directors. The Q1 average was 10%. One month does not make a trend. Let's see what happens in the next few months. Customer Lifecycle Marketing (CLM) The rise of CLM continues: The number of CLM openings doubled in April as compared to Q1. The big difference is in hybrid CLM roles. We are seeing more openings that include significant CLM responsibilities, but don't have a CLM title. What do you think? The jury is still out on whether hybrid CLM roles are a good thing. Does the role become a customer lifecycle orchestrator or a red flag of one more responsibility?
