Thank you everyone!! I am just seeing all of these fantastic ideas now (been busy wrapping up the program) and really appreciate all of the insights. Love the idea of writing handwritten notes for everyone Shannon Howard did you already have all their mailing addresses on file? Madeline Coke last year for the same program I put together this ebook in Canva and then hosted it on Issuu and linked out to it in email comms and this blog. The idea was also to host it on its own ebook landing page but that didn't end up happening. 🫠 this year we will be going bigger and better!

Annual Awards Program: Winner Selection and Follow-Up Strategies

Hi everyone! We are wrapping up our annual awards program and currently selecting winners from over 70 submissions—a great problem to have, but one I was not expecting! I'm now thinking through the post-award follow up strategy, including:

How to commemorate and honor everyone who submitted so they feel appreciated and encouraged to submit again next year
How to celebrate honorary mentions, because it's so hard to pick just one
How to publicly share all submissions, for those willing, to build community and knowledge sharing

If you have experience with awards programs, I would love to hear your insights. Thanks in advance!

And this may go without saying but we need to account for people who find out about a product from an email or in app message and reaches out to their account manager without any further, more quantifiable engagement, which differentiates this/makes it more complicated than the new sales attribution model 🤔

Tracking Customer Marketing Attribution: Seeking Scalable Solutions

Happy new year all! One of my resolutions is to become more active in this lovely community that has helped me so much. I'm curious to know how others are tracking customer marketing attribution on expansion efforts. I currently have a scrappy way of doing it where I consolidate all email clicks, webinar engagement, in app message engagement etc and cross reference it with salesforce upsell opportunities. While webinar attendance and form fills are already logged in SFDC as activities, the more granular click/interaction data isn't due to the need to prioritize which campaigns are relevant (i.e. unpaid feature updates don't count). Has anyone found a scalable solution for this?

How to Justify Hiring a Customer Marketing Specialist

Another Friday night share, does anyone have anything they could share on how they justified getting a customer marketing person to work under/support them? I am in that position and have a business case written up, but REALLY want to do this right and succeed- so open to seeing how others did it 🙂

I'm not sure what the process looks like on the accounting side, but that's what they asked for and we didn't get anymore hassle lol
