Hi everyone! For those of who use contractors / agencies to augment your teams, what types of projects or initiatives have you found most successful or impactful?
I use mine for all our recruitment and research for reference fulfillment. It's been impactful to have them vet customer reference options that best meet the request and then I'm working with a short list rather than starting from scratch. And then I'm having them work on identifying key gap areas, chatting with CSMs etc.
I recently led a team of 10 contractors/agencies with 2 FT resources for Marketing. The initiatives I found the most impactful were...
Lifecycle Marketing (all emails and web pages were redesigned, re-written, new dashboards created and OKR's set with new benchmark metrics/data created to make that happen.)
Marketing Analytics - data architecture, data creation, dashboards, data analysis, attribution modeling etc.
Those two were highly competent contractors one of which has an agency. I could talk all day about how great they were and what made excel more than the others. but also happy to share what didn't go well working with contractors that churned + the ones that stayed and needed to adjust. As someone who used to hire contractors for my own agency - there are definitely a lot of learnings in finding the right ones for the job!
Lacey Butler We have one part time contractor through wings4u. Absolutely love her and she is totally part of our little team of 2.5. She owns references and is currently helping with a revamp and relaunch of our advocacy program. We are moving into a branded program and she has led the revalidation of current members with our CSM at SlapFive. It’s been such a huge lift and she’s really done an amazing job. I’d definitely recommend looking at Wings4U. Their website kinda sucks (or sucked, haven’t been on for a while). But before I started, our contractor ran our success stories and then wings4u wrote them.
