Recommendations for Video Cameras and Tripods for On-Site Filming

Hi all! Has anyone purchased a video camera and tripod that they bring to events to film customers on-site (in place of contracting with a company to come on-site to film, but use the footage to share with a vendor afterwards to turn into a testimonial video)? If so, could you link them here? thanks!!

Yes done this plenty of times. I'll do the video shoot or hire a video producer, then they give me the footage and I hire someone on Upwork. Happy to chat through my workflow.

Hi Jenna A friend of mine is a videographer, and while I was at Aircall, he helped us setup a video studio for events, case studies, etc. We brought it with us on travel, as well. The full list of equipment he shared is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Kobb4K8nJafKOYTX3NEK2ZoDzMvtBHLc_L3U06EdasE/edit#gid=340442548 The camera and tripod are in the first couple of lines, and then additional add-ons under. I am far from a videographer but his insights, as I recall, were that these were the best quality + pricing match for this use case.

I have a Monfrotto tripod with a phone mount and use my iPhone 14 to film at events - obviously a little low budget haha but we've made it work! https://www.canto.com/videos/why-higher-education-organizations-love-canto/
